Samsung will unveil its next generation of smartwatches and foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025, in Brooklyn. The upcoming smartwatch lineup includes the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), with retail availability beginning July 23, according to leaks reported by Dealabs.
Three new models — the Galaxy Watch 8 (available in 40mm and 44mm), Watch 8 Classic (46mm), and Watch Ultra (47mm) — are expected to debut with notable hardware upgrades and new functionalities. Sources suggest a price hike for the European market.
The 40mm Galaxy Watch 8 will reportedly offer a 1.34-inch Super AMOLED display with 438x438 resolution, a 325mAh battery, and weigh 30 grams. The 44mm version is said to feature a 1.47-inch screen at 480x480 resolution, a 435mAh battery, and a weight of 34 grams. Both models may use aluminum frames and sapphire crystal displays, running on Samsung's Exynos W1000 processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
The Watch 8 Classic is expected to arrive in a 46mm format with a rotating bezel and Super AMOLED display (438x438 pixels). Housed in stainless steel and sapphire glass, this model may weigh 63.5 grams and carry a 445mAh battery. It will also run on the Exynos W1000 and One UI 8.0 software, with a bump in storage to 64GB and the same 2GB RAM.
Targeted at advanced users, the Galaxy Watch Ultra (47mm) could introduce an 86dB emergency siren, titanium body, and sapphire crystal. Expected specs include a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED panel (480x480), 590mAh battery, 60.5 grams weight, and the same Exynos W1000 chip with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage.
